All about Emma's House.

,

Emma's House is a fun, intimate, social day group dedicated to individuals with early to mid-stage dementia and the elderly in our community  who would benefit from social interaction.

At Emma's House, we believe in creating a supportive and joyful environment where individuals can succeed everyday.

Our group provides a warm, welcoming space where members can enjoy a rich variety of stimulating and enjoyable activities.

Every activity is thoughtfully planned, observed, and tailored to meet each individual’s needs, ensuring that everyone can participate meaningfully and to the fullest extent possible.

With small group sizes and a high staff-to-member ratio, we create sessions where every person feels valued—fostering dignity, achievement, fulfilment, and self-worth.

Our story.

With a lack of local facilities for the elderly and those with dementia, Emma's House was founded in 2016 with a heartfelt commitment to providing a supportive and joyful environment for individuals with early to mid-stage dementia and older adults. Our personalised care and engaging programmes ensure every visitor feels valued and at home.

Running from a beautiful self-contained day room within Rodwell House, we have been able to offer this support to the local community.

Continued Hobbies

Participating in familiar activities can provide comfort and routine, reducing feelings of anxiety. Physical and creative pursuits may stimulate memory and communication skills, contributing positively to overall wellbeing and quality of life.

Bonds & Friendships

By attending our group on the same day each week, individuals with dementia are given a consistent opportunity to meet and interact with familiar faces. This regularity helps to build trust and recognition, making it easier for friendships and bonds to form over time.
