What makes Emma's House special?

Emma's House is intentionally kept small, hosting a maximum of six clients at any one time.

This intimate setting allows for truly personalised experience and ensures that every individual receives dedicated attention and support from our staff.

Unlike larger institutions, we offer a unique 'homely feel,' creating a comforting and familiar environment. The small group size also naturally encourages clients to build meaningful bonds and friendships with both staff and clients, promoting social interaction and a supportive community.

What are the session times at Emma's House?

Emma's House operates from 10:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday.

 

What is your daily charge and how are payments made?

Our daily rates are £65 a day. This includes a hot two course meal, refreshments and any trips out.

Payments are typically invoiced on a monthly basis with the preferred method being bank transfer.

We aim for flexibility and can discuss payment methods and schedules that suit your arrangements.

Can Dad come more that once a week?

Clients can attend Emma's House from 1- 5 days a week depending on our availability and their needs.

We suggest starting with 1-2 days and are happy to discuss a schedule that works best for your loved one should you wish to increase their time with us.

 

Are you able to help my husband with toileting?

Although we can encourage and remind, all our guests must be able to use the bathroom unaided.

Although those in pads are most welcome, we are unable to assist in the changing of pads or padded underwear.

 

Mum's in a wheelchair. Can she still come? 

Absolutely. Emma's House is designed to be fully accessible, and we warmly welcome clients who use wheelchairs, frames, or other mobility aids. Our premises are adapted to ensure comfort and ease of movement for everyone.

Is lunch provided?

Yes, we provide a hot, 2 course homecooked meal every day and snacks and refreshments throughout the day.

We can catering to various dietary needs. Our aim is to ensure all clients are well-nourished and enjoy their meals in a friendly, social setting.

Is someone able to help lift Mum out of her chair?

For the wellbeing of our staff,  Clients must be able to sit and stand unaided.

Although direction and verbal support can be given, our  team are unable to give physical support in these instances.

 

Can I get funding?

Surrey Council may assist in payments depending on your financial situation. You can request a financial assessment through your case worker.  

 

Can we all come for a visit?

We strongly encourage prospective clients and their families to visit for a coffee at Emma's House .

This allows you to meet our staff, see our facilities, and experience the warm, homely atmosphere first-hand.
